News!

So, after thinking of where I want this blog to go, and how I want it to evolve, I started to take a closer look at all the things I love about my favorite blogs I visit daily. Well, now I have decided that, instead of just posting pictures of clothes I like, I am going to post the pictures I am inspired by in addition to my own personal rendition of the pictures, which will include daily outfits I style for myself or friends and family.

I am so looking forward to the new changes happening!

Runaway

I am so obsessed with this video. Kanye West just blows my mind. Even though its 35 minutes long, definitely check it out. The ballerina scene is definitely my favorite.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is scheduled for release on November 22nd.

Wish List

I. Am. In. Love.
Dreams are free. Right?

Christian Louboutin Rollerball studded loafers $995.00

Christian Louboutin Tall Boot $1,500

Stuart Weitzman 'Hilo' Boot $665.00

My Zara Picks

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with Zara's Fall/Winter 2010 collection. It was a bit dowdy, and too little house on the prairie for me but there were a few pieces I am loving for fall.

Stroke of Guinness

This fall, Daphne Guinness will be NARS' new muse. The brand has also created an eyeshadow for her aptly titled, Guinness, which is the fierce purple she's wearing in the add below. Guinness eyeshadow will hit NARS online July 15 and drop in stores mid-August.

Miu Miu

Miu Miu's new Fall 2010 collection is genius and consists of all things I would DIE to have hanging in my closet. The new designs are fresh and fun, I also love the color palette. My favorites are the last three in the first add, and the yellow 'lock' one in the second add.

WTF Moment

Fashion blogger, Tavi Gevinson has chosen Christine Staub, (daughter of Danielle Staub from Real Housewives of NJ) as her new model for her 10 page Black Book editorial. Tavi had originally chosen Chloƫ Sevigny, who later backed out due to scheduling conflicts. How does one go from Chloƫ Sevigny to Christine Staub? I have no idea, but I'm not loving it.

Boycott Selfridges

what the FUCK was Selfridges thinking? Yes. That is a McQueen dress hanging from a rope. Are they seriously unaware that Alexander McQueen had committed suicide be hanging himself? I'm really interested to hear what their reasoning behind this is....

Posh

I love it when some of my favorite people collaborate together, especially when it's so unlikely. So I was pretty excited when I heard that Victoria Beckham has been appointed Creative Director of Range Rover. She will lend her fashion skills to design future Range Rover limited edition models, and has so far lent her talent to the new, "Evoque" or the "Baby SUV". I love cars and I think this one's pretty cool looking, very future-eqsue. No word on pricing or availability, but I'll definitely be on the look out.

Shit, I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can...

So yesterday, Saturday July 3rd, I experienced some pretty amazing shit, The Legends Suite at Yankee Stadium. If you, like myself, had not heard of this mythical suite before, prepare to be blown away. First of all your ticket is unnecessarily massive, but pretty cool looking nonetheless. Anyway, with this golden ticket, you get escorted to a 'VIP' entrance completely secluded from the rest of the stadium where you then scan your ticket and are given an equally massive wrist band. After your set up, you walk through what could only be described as Yankee heaven, royal blue glass everywhere etched with the NY label. As you walk through yet another entrance, your then greeted by your 'host' who tells you your, 'servant' (yes, really) will be right with you.
Once you've met with your server, your shown to your table, where your then told to browse your dinner options from two restaurants with star chefs, which include, but not limited to, a sushi bar, kobe beef, crabcake, tuna, and chicken sliders, prime rib, king crab legs, Dylan's Candy and Ice Cream bar and so on. Once you've chosen what you'd like, you can order your initial food buffet style or your server goes back and gets all your food for you, and everything is completely unlimited.
Once your done eating, don't expect a check because everything is completely free. Yes, everything, well except liquor. After that, you then make your way past a bar that leads you into a hallway lined with baskets of more free candy to grab to eat at your seat. You then round the corner and your literally at home plate, so once you've picked your jaw from the floor after realizing just HOW close you are, your lead to your seats and handed ANOTHER menu with snacks and drinks that are brought to your seat.
The seats are a navy blue padded leather with teak arms, and all of the aisles are lined with more staff, security, and police officers. I'm not really a sports fan, but I do enjoy a good baseball game, and this experience was completely unforgettable.
If your a Yankee fan, or even if your not, I would encourage anyone and everyone to experience the Legends Suite at least once in their lives, it's truly remarkable, and I cannot wait to go back!

Here's some pictures I took!

Lovely Liz

I love, love, love, love Andy Warhol. I'm secretly even apart of a forum that e-mails me everytime they receive a new original Warhol; definitely very cool to see.

Well, this past Wednesday Christies auctioned off Andy's 'Silver Liz'; a print of Elizabeth Taylor, definitely an iconic piece. The silkscreen sold for $10.1 million, which insanely enough, wasn't even as much as expected!

Damn.

Venomous Villans Part Duex

As I previously posted, MAC is launching a Disney Venomous Villans collection this October. Some new imagery has been leaked of the highly anticipated packaging, and from what I'm gathering ,the general consensus is, everyone's a little...let down. Myself included.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept and I was expecting some KILLER packaging, possibly going along with the sketch imagery theme released in the video teaser. Yet the packaging looks like Cheap Disney sticker's stuck on MAC cases, it looks as if I let a toddler into my make-up kit.

I'm going to remain optimistic about this and hope for a change, or maybe these are just bad leaked pics.....hopefully.

You can also review the "final" make-up line up for each Villian which is confirmed as, Maleficent(!!!), Cruella De Ville, The Evil Queen from Snow White, and Dr. Facilier from the Princess and the Frog.

I kinda wish they included Ursula aswell, I saw a pretty cool idea for a double-sided eyeliner called, Flotsum and Jetsum, her two eels; oh well.

Blow My Mind

Christies Auction House was scheduled to auction off a portion of british stylist Isabella Blow's wardrobe this September. The late stylist whom died in 2007 after drinking weed killer, has been back in headlines recently after her close friend Alexander Wang had claimed his own life just two years after Isabella.

A mutual friend, Daphne Guinness, has instead privately bought the Christie's 'Isabella Blow' collection in it's entirety, stating: "It's Issy-it's her DNA- it should not be scattered to the four winds; I want it to remain as a monument."

The collection was said to consist of over 90 McQueen creations whom was also a close friend to Daphne.

I'm movin' on, I'm throwing on my Louboutins

I've never been much of a shoe girl, but the new Christian Louboutin Fall/Winter 2011 'Lady Peep' patent leather pump just does it for me.

I also love the 'Nutria' slide, its so Bridget Bardot old hollywood glamour chic.

And the new Louboutin site is pretty cool as well, check it out!

Villainess

I am SO excited about this newest MAC collaboration; Disney Villains x MAC.

WWD States:

MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with Disney to create a limited edition color collection, intended to launch globally in late September in all MAC locations. The products will feature four Disney characters, on which the brand is keeping mum at the moment — although with a collection name of Venomous Villains, it is assumed that we’re not talking Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse here. Lipstick, powder, lip gloss and blush shades will be sold, ranging in price from $12 to $29.50.

It's honestly sad how excited I get for new make-up collaborations like this, and I cant wait to see how beautiful the packaging looks and what Villain's MAC has chosen, in my opinion I'd love to see Maleficent, because Sleeping Beauty is my all time favorite disney movie.

Check out the video teaser here: I think it's beyond brilliant.

Diamond In The Rough

I LOVE David Yurman, I think his jewelry is gorgeous. Although his style is modern, his pieces literally become apart of your life, and grow with you, so its like, modern vintage? Haha. David's pieces are timeless anyway you look at it, which is why I love him so much. I was passed down a topaz blue cable necklace from my mother, which I made into a bracelet, and although it was purchased probably 10 years ago, the style is still so relevant and fresh.

If your familiar with the David Yurman brand then you know his signature is the twisted cable metal, well, when I came across his newest collection, titled the Couture Collection, I was completely blown away.

My favorite are the Couture Wrap Rings. They make SUCH a statement. No pricing on the collection but I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg, which sucks, because they're all so beautiful.

Btw, how fabulous is that nail polish?

The Black Wrap ring is my favorite :)

Bulletproof

Damn, these leggings are just wild, definitely very Lady Gaga. Sass and Bide is one of those, edgy, out of the box kind of labels, but I love it. These bad boys retail for $860.00 on netaporter. Check out the Aussie grown brand if you like what you see, there stuff is full of statement making pieces. xox.

The Un-Sinkable...

Two great loves of mine, the Titanic and Alexander McQueen. When these two unlikely pairs comes together, it makes for insanely gorgeous, breathtaking fashion.

If I were insane enough to drain all my bank accounts, and even take out a loan, I would purchase these shoes. They're to die for. I would be too afraid to even put my foot into these in fear of harming, them, so I would just leave them out on my dresser and stare at their beauty, but unfortunately picture will have to suffice :(.

Key To My Heart..

Balenciaga has always had a huge place in my heart, I've always adored their craftsmanship and the overall beautiful design of their pieces, especially the 'motorcycle'/'city' bags. After many years of literally drooling over Balenciaga's handbags, neatly tucked away in their glass cases at Neiman Marcus, I'm finally a proud owner, and I am even more in love.

Here are ad's from their Spring Collection as well as, pieces from Fall 2010 Accessories Collection. I'm not loving the Fall pieces, but the Spring collection is looking pretty stellar.
